Valerian I, 253-260. Aureus (Gold, 18 mm, 2.37 g, 6 h), Rome, 256. IMP C P LIC VALERIANVS P F AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Valerian to right. Rev. RESTITVTOR ORBIS Valerian, in military attire, standing front, head to left, holding long scepter in his left hand, raising up female figure, who kneels right before him. Calicó 3441. Cohen 181. MIR 111a. RIC 50 corr. (bust also cuirassed). Bright and attractive, and with a lovely reverse. Surface crack on the obverse and with some light scratches on the reverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
